About Us
Butterfly Financial Education, Inc. is a nonprofit organization formed to educate the public on personal finance and offer credit counseling to individuals and families.
Butterfly Financial Education, Inc. was founded by Janet Swope for the purpose of providing personal financial education and information, including information on budgeting, savings and debt resolution. Janet has been a Financial Educator and Credit Counselor for over 16 years. After seeing individuals run into issues with debt, and then again with various programs offered to resolve that debt, she wanted to offer personal financial education and debt resolution information that informs individuals without bias. "If we teach people what programs are out there, and who they are designed to help, they will be better prepared to seek out programs that would be in their best interest and say 'No' to those that are not."
Here at Butterfly, financial education is our focus. We do not offer debt resolution programs or credit repair but instead we provide information geared to help. Our goal is giving everyone knowledge that will help to empower them.
